Welcome to My World!

Peacocks 'n' Paint are just a few of the things I do. I have two breeding pair of peafowl and I paint pictures, usually with acrylic but sometimes with oils. My paintings are shown far below on the right. Please scroll down and take a look! My peacocks and other things you might see around the "farm" are on the left. Those are photos of my inspirations!

Christmas is upon us!

Christmas is coming faster than a snowball rolling downhill!  I started preparations the first of November and felt like I would have plenty of time.  Then I got the viral bronchitis that was making it's rounds and that put me down for three weeks, so it was back to the old first of December rush for me!  Thankfully, Paul came to my rescue, as always.  He nursed me back to health and had me call MaidPro and Fish Window Cleaners so I don't have any cleaning to do.  I have my shopping done and cards sent out but still have lots of presents to wrap and two packages that should have been sent off last week or maybe the week before?  One thing I know for sure, whether I am ready or not, Christmas WILL come!

  1. I hope you had a beautiful Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

We had that nasty virus early on in the fall and it took weeks for the adults to shake it. The kids did much better with it. I hope all is well with you now :)

  2. I surprised myself and was ready for Christmas well before midnight Christmas eve...something which seemed impossible even a few days before. Paul arrived back from Australia on the 23rd. He has given me bi-weekly MaidPro service for the coming year as an anniversary present and I intend to request it from now until forever. :) I have no problem keeping up with everything during the two week intervals, but it is nice to know someone will be here to scrub up everything eventually! It gives me a lot of time to paint now.

We had a perfectly lovely Christmas, no snow down here of course but we had plenty of family and friends, a lot of fun unwrapping gifts and watching the grandchildren play. Then we had a great prime rib dinner with all the trimmings. All are healthy and well. The tree is back in the closet and we are into the New Year! Lets hope it is a good one! :)
