Welcome to My World!

Peacocks 'n' Paint are just a few of the things I do. I have two breeding pair of peafowl and I paint pictures, usually with acrylic but sometimes with oils. My paintings are shown far below on the right. Please scroll down and take a look! My peacocks and other things you might see around the "farm" are on the left. Those are photos of my inspirations!

Candled Eggs

I candled the peacock eggs Sunday.  Thirteen of the twenty one eggs in the incubator are fertile!  Two more weeks and we will see how many of the thirteen hatch!  What fun to be able to see the darkened area and know there is LIFE in those eggs!

  1. Are these the same ones you just shared on facebook? So cute! Very exciting when little babies emerge.

  2. Yes! Aren't they sweet? They are so bright and alert. They are already eating turkey starter and drinking water. So far they are living in a very large plastic storage box with an old refrigerator shelf rack and an old bird cage rack over the top and a quilt over that to prevent drafts. They have a light bulb for heat of course. They have washable rubber shelf liner over newspaper for a floor so they don't slip and slide.
